NFR...CathyZ, thinking of you. I've not heard your island mentioned in harm's way but stay safe.

Been thinking of you too, so far I heard it's the big island that's going to take the direct hit...

batten down the hatches!

Stay safe!

Heard on the news this morning that within just a few hours many grocery stores

shelves were empty. I heard water is all sold out, now they have to wait for more supplies to be brought it.

From someone who lives in a state that Hurricanes love my heart

goes out to you Cathy. And to have one back to back? Not fair! Stay safe!

Thanks everyone- your good thoughts helped blow these buggers away from us

The Big Island- Hilo side- did take a hit but when Iselle landed she was a strong tropical storm instead of a hurricane. Whew, still lots of flooding, wind, trees, poles etc down but it could have been so much worse. The storm leftovers are just some strong wind and rain- not unusual weather for us here on Kauai. We are still watching Hurricane Julio carefully- he seems to be heading North and away from the islands but we know all too well from Hurricane Iniki in 1992 that the course can change on a dime and the storm can head in straight toward us. Fingers crossed for dodging another bullet. There is another disturbance gearing up behind Julio. Sigh. This is the year!

Thanks for all your good wishes.

Thanks for the update... Wishing you the best with J. dh and I were thinking of you this am.

We went through Sandy and were able to purchase a generator 300+ miles away.... You do not have those options / resources. Reach out if you you need anything.

Best,
Barb
