general Bookmark list, not the Toolbar. I tried to create one and it ended up under "Unsorted Bookmarks." It doesn't even show up on the top of the page where it has the Bookmark list. I have to go into "Organize Bookmarks" to find it. I have no problem saving webpages, but need to organize them into folders.

All my other favorite folders and files were imported from IE, but now I need to create new ones, so I can organize my bookmarks. It was so much easier to do with IE, but I don't like using it - I prefer Mozilla for its speed. But this is ridiculous - it should not be such a hassle to figure out. HELP!

Here's how:

Go to Bookmarks in the menu bar.
Select "Bookmark This Page"
When the window opens, there will be two small boxes on the right side, with inverted triangles on them. Select the top one and the window will expand.

There will now be a "New Folder" button.

Select that button and a "new folder" will be added to your existing list of bookmarks. The cursor will be waiting for you to "name" it.

Even after giving it a unique name, it will still end up at the bottom of your bookmark lists. Just grab it and drag it up to where you want to move it.

Hope this sounds logical to you.

Hey Marilyn, that's the problems. When I select Bookmark this Page, there are no small boxes with

inverted triangles on the right. All that comes up are three bars, one under the other: "Remove Bookmark," "Name," and "Folder," which has a Drop Down Menu and shows the folders I already have, either imported from IE or the few I have in the Toolbar. That's it! The version I have of Mozilla is 5.0, and Firefox is 3.0.4.

Oh wait wait - just found it! The "inverted triangles" threw me-I see them as little arrows. Thanks!
