NFR: How many of you are aware that there are tabs on the end

Well-known member
of the tinfoil boxes, that you press in to hold the roll of foil in place? I just read about this on another site and after all the years of using foil, never knew the tabs were there. It is amazing how many others that wrote in on that site, did not know either. LOL

After all these years of cooking and using foil wrap, I just found those silly tabs

First off - I could not press them in...I had to take my boy scout knife and bang on the tab. It all sort of busted and went in. I see no purpose to them. My foil stays in place just fine.

And while we're on the subject of "did you know...", here's another NFR tidbit that I just learned..

Do you know those buttons that are at the
bottom of your dress shirts, the ones that
don't line up with any button holes? The
ones that I've seen down there almost all
of my life, and wondered "what the hell are
they doing there?"

They're in case you lose a button.

They're spares.

Why didn't I figure that out 30 years ago?
