I was going through some old archives on one of my recipe lists, and found the following. Think it was was posted on Gail's. It still is funny, and unfortunately, kind of true about all Internet lists etc.!!! LOLOLOLOLO

Lol and makes me appreciate this site! I've seen sites where that is all too true! I visited a mag

site where the feed back on the magazine was about 200 posts on whether or not they'd received the new issue yet, makes me wonder if anyone actually used the recipes!

 
One thing I attribute to this site (and the old Gail's) is I no longer have patience...

...for all the advertising in food magazines.

I let my Sunset subscription expire for that reason. Less and less valuable content, more and more ads.

I don't subscribe to any others except Cook's Illustrated (NO ads!) and Cooking Light, and I'm going to not renew Cooking Light. I find it a CHORE to wade through all those ads and try to find the articles of interest. I put off reading it, and sometimes it gets tossed without even being opened.

Between this site and Cook's Illustrated, I get more excellent content than I know what to do with!
