Been told I have a Cyst on the only ovary I have left. Been told it is half the size of the ovary Thought we took care of this with taking all out guess not. Life at 47 LOL. Its been tuff eating nothing sounds very good. Meat is out right now just doesn't agree. Today I am thinking of a pasta salad any good idea's on this or something else.

Thank you

(((carol))) I've been down that path...

What about a nice protein drink? Almond milk has a lot of protein, + peanut butter or protein powder + banana + vogurt. Get all the food groups in one swoop.

I praying for benign.

Praying here, too, Carol!

Sorry you're dealing with this! I've found it's not fun getting older. I deal with the issues as they come but oh, my. No one told me about all the things women go though! LOL They just say the M word and smile knowingly.

Sheesh.

could it maybe be gallbladder as well? this sometimes gets overlooked, and since your appetite is

diminished, it just came to mind.

(((carol))) and here's a little pasta salad that might be tempting...

It just might be all the stress that this situation is causing (that makes you lose your appetite)...if that is the case and since you requested a pasta salad...this is my take-off on Cathy's Creamy Pasta Salad:

Creative Pasta Salad

8 oz rotinni
One (15-1/2 oz) can garbanzo beans, drained, rinsed & drained again
Sliced Kalamata or black or green olives
Chopped red onions
Chopped or shredded carrots
Minced green, red, orange bell peppers (all--or whatever you have)
Chopped tomatoes, seeded and drained
Chopped radishes (1 or 2)
Chopped zucchini
Broccoli florets
2 Tbsps Italian parsley, chopped

Dressing:
Hellman's regular mayo (or 1/2 reg and 1/2 light)
Half and Half (or fat free half and half)
Garlic powder
Celery seeds
Freshly ground black pepper
Seasonal (just a little bit)
Sprinkle of dried red pepper flakes

Garnishes:
Slivered fresh basil leaves
Fresh marjoram, chopped

Cook pasta al dente; drain. Then cool it under cold water. Drain.

Prepare vegetables & place in large bowl. Blend dressing ingredients and fold into pasta. Taste to see if it needs additional seasong/herbs. Garnish. Serves 4.

I use whatever I have on hand in the crisper. IMO, the garbanzo beans (chick peas) are what really make this pasta salad so good - thanks Cathy Z!--Ann

Thanks to everyone I am trying a

Liver/Gallbladder cleanse also while I wait to return to the hospital in two weeks to see if the cyst is still there or gone. I looked up on one site about gallbadders. Doesn't hurt to get toxins out of the body. Thanks again to everyone.

Carol

Good luck, sweetie! One of my fruit-sized cysts went away...

I started out with a 15-pound "watermellon"
then I had a 2-pound grapefruit...
then I had a lemon-sized cyst that dissolved by the time I went into surgery.

(benign, benign, benign)

At that point (age 37), my doctor decided to remove all the equipment and shut down the buffet line.

They used to say that drinking Red Stripe beer would dissolve kidney stones..... do you think

that eating chocolate dissolves ovarian cysts?? (chanting, benign, benign). If you spell that word often enough it looks funny. hmmm not funny ha-ha, but funny, strange.

I'm a little sad reading this, Marilyn, even though the diagnosis could have been so much worse.

For what it's worth, you're the mother of us all.

Oh would that it could. How did you hear this about kidney stones Pat? I wish it were even

halfway serious.

This was just what everyone said when we lived in Kingston in the early 80's.

I never read anything to substantiate it. Wish it were true -- a much more pleasant was to rid oneself of such a painful condition. Even though I never liked Red Stripe beer!!!
