loves crafting wood and lives in NYC. It broke his heart to see all the downed trees after Sandy that were just being mulched so he started taking trees home and produced these incredible bowls. He has teamed up with an organization that helps with the restoration after the storm and gives much of the proceeds to the project. His web site is awful but I found a slide show of some of his pieces. I love them and I love the idea of what he is doing. We have a bowl carved from the trunk of our (termite) defunct Plum Tree. I saw him too. Great idea.
