be in Florida. Florida only shows about a dozen of them in the state, all in the Orlando area. She doesn't have a mate so the eggs aren't fertilized. When she first started laying her eggs at my house over a year ago, I contacted the Florida Fish and Wildlife at that time to find out what to do. They told me to make a few fake eggs (kids clay you bake in the oven) and then let her have 3 or 4 and then start replacing them with the fake ones. She always has 6 and I just slowly take them from her. I can always tell when she is ready for the last one to go. Thanks for your concern.
