and good wishes sent her way. she started playing this morning and is going to make a full recovery... whew!! we just need to get some weight back on her. interesting that she went down during the pet food post.

Don put some pics up, the roof pic I took and the others are some "baby" pics. she's a big, beautiful girl now. her eyes changed from amber to green..... none of us can figure that one out.

anyway, I thought you might like to see who you were sending all those wonderful thoughts to. we are both grateful for your love and support.

she's mostly a blue, charcoal, green eyes, double coat but the little white diamond at her throat

lets us know there's something else in there too. she was barely 3 mos when I found her. she was a "throw away" kitten but we never told her that. she thinks she just had a fun adventure until I brought her home '-))

(((Orchid))) your link got me looking for more pics on the web. I came

accross a Russian Blue site that was just full info and a description of what the real Russian is. it looks like Kai is all Russian Blue. they said there is no white except for the occasional patch on the throat, which is considered a disqualifier for show cats. I always thought the little white "diamond" at her throat meant there was something else mixed in there.

now it makes me wonder why she was out on her own as a babe and why no one was looking for her. they aren't cheap cats, even without papers. thanks for giving her her rightfull heritage!

Very NFR cat talk...I had one a long time ago that I got from my Vets office.

Some people brought him in with a very swollen leg, Dr. said it would probably have to be removed, they left to get money and of course never came back. They found a rubber band around his leg and were able to save it. He had been in their clinic for a long time and was a bit wild. We took him in and called him Taz (short for Tasmanian Devil). He was a beautiful cat and I thought Kai looked very much like him.

it's "royal" purple '-)) how is the food in Australia? finding new things and missing some?

Lots of new things, like kangaroo mince...

Right next to the beef mince! Haven't worked up the nerve yet, apparently it's a bit slimey and gamey...

The other day I watched a cooking show where they took a whole roo tail and made a stew out of it...

I miss diet soda - they only have diet Sprite and diet orange here, diet colas, of course - but that's about it...

I miss good ice cream, all the stuff at the store is waxy and too creamy, have to really go out of your way to get good stuff...

And I miss all the mex ingredients, of course - will have to see about starting an import company...
