NFR? My daughter and her kids will be in NY for about a week and needs to find a place to stay for

2 nights. Any recommends on hotels, vacation apts. She is on a budget but the big problem is bed bugs. She will be staying in a

friends apt. after the first 2 nights and certainly doesn't want to

bring them any unwanted gifts.

I hear that one needs to check the bed before accepting to stay. Pull back covers, and check

the fitted corners of the bedsheet, Check the bare mattress all along the edges, blankets, etc. If she finds any, go to another place. Best bet would be a bed and breakfast type of place, or a private home which rents out a bedroom.
