NFR newest on my health blood cell count is low liver is abnormal

Carol, did you happen to go "vegetarian" for a while? My friend's blood cell

count went really low after she took a vacation out west, saw the cattle and chicken slaughter yards and gave up meat/eggs/etc without worrying about eating enough protein.

It affected everything.

Also, consider requesting a re-test just to ensure there wasn't a goof-up.

Best wishes.

did they give you any reasons things changed so much in such a short time?

Marilyn has a good point, could it be a diet change? vitamins? supplements?

I hope it switches back quickly.

going lo carb/hi protein can do funny things to the liver counts too. just a thought.

Will find out on Tuesday what she thinks. Also will be having the tube

stuck down my thoat on the 19th. Haven't real changed my diet.

endoscopy? are they looking for an ulcer? thankfully, it's a fairly quick procedure.

my thoughts will be with you sweetie.

you're welcome Carol. bring a bottle of water and maybe some ensure with you. you'll

be hungry after as you need to fast for the procedure. also, get some throat lozengers just in case your throat is sore from it.

thankfully, ulcers can be healed a lot faster these days.

You are in my thoughts and prayers, those are weird results,Endoscpy is not a big deal.Keep us posted

I'd ask for a retest...

Labs are not infallible. Test results can be way off. Ask for a redo. If the second take is also amiss, then do further exploration.

Non panic pas....yet! (You like my fractured French?)

My sister has low blood counts (both white and red) for a couple of years. So far, no diagnosis.

Thinking of you, carol!
