fall yesterday. literaly tripped over my own feet with little help from a leg on a bench.

went down hard on elbow and knee.

this is the best part, I was at the freakin' gym.

arm hurt really bad, went to treadmill and finished workout, skipped weights. home about an hour and wow, big ouyie, decided better see doc.

well after finding out my doc was out of town and spending lots of time in voice mail hell, found someone who could squeeze me in.

this dude put me through all sorts of contortions and was pretty sure nothing was broken, but thought just to be safe, I should have an x-ray. well boys and girls, do have a break.

but it's the humarus just below shoulder. 6-8 weeks in a sling.

actually guess I was lucky, a shoulder injury would have been awful.

I have the worst habit of not looking down, head in the clouds?

but, when on a rough trail or in the woods, am careful and never get hurt.

so, laugh at the old broad, damn typing with one wing is hard!

Awwwww Nan...

I am so sorry to hear that. What a pain. Did they cast it? I do the same thing when I am carrying things. I proceed very carefully now. Feel better and have a nice hot toddy before bed tonight.

thanks Sweetie, no just the sling, and it does feel better. Can you believe, after the ice is gone?

left, left handed, except for writing and knife skills do o.k.with right. broke left arm before on ice

Nope, supposed to go back end of next week.Too much heavy lifting, couldn't do everything with sling.

Sorry to hear about your mishap Nan! Speaking of mishaps...

I'll never forget my mishap years ago at Gold's Gym in south Joisey. I decided I had enough on the treadmill and simply pushed the stop button... I catapulted backwards onto the floor with such megabutt impact that I was hurting real bad. I laughed. What's a dumb blonde to do?? To my dismay, the surrounding zombie-like exercisers were carrying on as if nothing happened.

It's beyond your control what happened Nan, so you just take good care of yourself and get better soon!

If misery loves company, this morning I dropped a fork on my foot so hard

that it started bleeding where the prongs went in. Ouch.
