anyone with a reasonable suggestion for one nights stay......the rest of the stay will be at wedding couples new house on the Lake.

It will be asparagus season there now. HOpe you like it. You won't be able to avoid

it. Can't really help with the hotel. I've stayed at the Beau Rivage in Montreux and the Wilson in Geneva. Lots of good hotels though. Be sure to eat Swiss. Geneva has wonderful boeuf bourgignonne, and of course fondus...cheese and beef. And outstanding coupes...ice cream sundaes.

You can get the real Poire Williamine there. THE place that it originates is just an hour along the lake...Martigny.

It is so beautiful there.....aaaaw

When are you going?

The Hôtel du Midi where I stayed for two nights. How can I forget? I still have their lovely

wooden coat hanger that I snitched back in the 80's!

Joannie, it's within a short walking distance of everything you'll want to see including the Jet d’eau on the lake (had to look that up because I forgot the name and thought it to be a geiser...), restaurants, and many, many Arab banks (if you want to make some deposits), jewelers, and gardens along on the lakefront, and is SO beautiful at night!

Watch your money though Joannie, it won't go too far in that town! Here's the hotel link and click on image for a map and more photos of hotel.

Also, underneath, is another link for attractions.

Thank you so much...don't know how much time there will be for 'attractions'.....

quite a few will be flying in from all over the world who haven't seen each other for some time.....going to be quite a party for that week.

Forgot to mention that car rental is much cheaper in Switzerland. The tax is only

8 or 9% versus 19% in France. Since it is such a major expense there anyway, that makes a big difference. Gas is now $2.45 a litre there.

I think Switzerland will be much more affordable, in general.

I envy too.

Hotel Century... I think it was called...

That was where the company put us up at. Very very close to everything.

Have a wonderful wonderful time! Sorry I didn't see this until now.
