and it's free on Amazon Prime.

We watched it on DVD from the library. Five part series set in 1910 thru WWI.

Benedict Cumberbatch plays a brilliant aristocrat who marries a socialite, but falls in love with a suffragette. Being a noble person, he sticks with the wife through...lots of stuff.

5 hours. Good dialog by Tom Stoppard. I swear he wrote this after "Sherlock" because Cumberbatch actually sounds like he's still in Sherlock Holmes mode.

we just started amazon prime---haven't found the free stuff yet, so thanks! watching Nurse Jackie.

what a hot mess she is now in season 3. love all the characters, especially Zoe and Akalaitus. the "Rat" episode made me laugh uncontrollably.

And along that line, I want to say that I have never seen a series as engrossing and intense as

Homeland.

I'm waiting for the library to get season 3 but not very patiently.

Best I've ever seen.

Good to know! I've never seen that series. Or the Sopranos. Or Friends. Or Seinfeld...

oh, the list goes on and on.

I really need to figure out the amazon prime freebies... Mar, NEVER sopranos? Don't you have

Jersey roots?

Nope...not a single episode. I worked in central NJ for 2 years for LM. LOVED IT

I don't really like watching violence. However, Game of Thrones has roped me in....nowTHAT'S a violent show! But the character development is so good!

Midwife is great! Also Doc Martin, Bramwell, Little Dorrit,

Lark Rise to Candleford, Jeeves & Wooster (Hugh Laurie & Stephen Fry),
