NFRC Car Mouse is back with a vengence!

I went out to the car to get the mums (potted and wrapped) that I bought yesterday at the Farmer's Market - I wanted to keep them cool until they would be today's dinner centerpiece - only to find out that the mouse in my car ate the tops off almost all of them!! Arggggh!

Really, does anyone have any suggestions on how to get rid of him for good? "Humane" mousetraps don't work. Mothballs don't work. There isn't a speck of food in there, I vacuumed all of the crumbs/leaves out last week, and even wiped down the inside! So frustrating!!

Happy Easter (or Passover) to everyone, even though it will be a boring table (

Ick. My DH had a mouse in his car and we eventually had to put in a trap.

Turned out, the mouse had a hole in the car that it ran in and out of, and somehow other mice found out so DH caught 6 (!) mice in the car before realizing that it had a hole.

I'm terrified of mice and refused to get in the car with him, so he had to sell it and get a new one.

Set traps with bacon - much better than cheese!

All cars will have holes so that is just a given and they can squeeze through spaces you can barely fit a piece of paper. Around here the problem is with squirrels. They have chewed fuel lines, hoses, belts, and wiring harnesses. Come to find out a lot of parts are coated with oils like peanut or other oils that attract rodents. Which is also the same reason that people often catch mice chewing on electronics like microwave ovens.

You are lucky it is only mice. We had the bigger cousin in our garage eating car wiring

We tried everything. What eventually worked was peanut butter on the traps.

Good luck getting the critter out!

Speaking of peanut butter, we are adicted to the coconut peanut butter we found at the kailua

farmer's market. so delish!
