NFRC -- Did a golf theme for DH today - least stress ever!

DH and two friends who have birthdays close together organize a friendly golf "tournament" every May. Since the house and yard were nicely cleaned for my mom's 90th birthday, I suggested we host a happy hour. Little cooking, as Costco made the meatballs and chicken wings, and I got to relax. Despite the very clean house, everyone sat outside in a big circle for hours!

Meatball MULLIGANS

BIRDIES Chicken Wings

SLICES - cheese and crackers

WEDGES- watermelon

WATER HAZARD - on cooler with water bottles

19th HOLE - beer and wine

CHIP SHOT - friends brought chips and dip

GREENS - veggie tray

HOLE IN ONE - chocolate cupcakes topped with green jimmies. I got the idea online to scoop out a bit and fill with Lindt white chocolate balls. Added little white flags on picks. I gotta say, they were very cute.

Didn't follow up with plan to make a big batch of Arnold Palmers as it was cool today.

 
What I meant to say is that I am not a very skilled cook but like to have friends over.

I am in awe of Richard, CathyZ, Traca, Sally, Marilyn, Joe, Ang, Dawn, and all of you who are adventurous and gifted cooks. I love reading your posts. smileys/heart.gif
