This happened almost immediately after we moved, incidentally (coincidentally, probably).
When I now go to google.com to do a search, I'm able to type into the search bar, but the predictive text doesn't come up, and when I hit "search," nothing happens. Occasionally, when I hit "I'm feeling lucky" instead, I get a page that says, "We've detected strange behavior from your computer" and then I have to complete a Captcha to get to it.
I know there are technologically-minded folk here who have a better sense of how to fix this than I do... What say ye?
I'm running Firefox 6.0.2 (with AdBlock, with AdBlock's EasyList USA filter) on an Asus laptop. (Disabling AdBlock helped for about 60 seconds after relaunch, and then the problem returned. It also happens on Google Chrome, which worries me.)
I've already done about four anti-virus and malware scans, and since finding one threat (which the program deemed low-level), the scans haven't found anything. What to do? Any advice appreciated... Thank you!
