NFRC: How a bear cost us a new set of studded snow tires.

It's tire changeover time, and we loaded our studded tires into the Escape and headed to the tire shop for changeover. Did some shopping for about an hour and returned with hopes of our tires being changed and on our way again. Well, the fella says they couldn't change the tires because they found 6 puncture holes in one tire that could not be fixed---he said it looked like a bear bit down on the tire, several times. Yikes! We had stored the tires outside, covered, behind the shed down at the cabin. So, they had no matching tire---no longer made---and nothing that would match tread yada, yada, yada. And DH didn't have patience to try to find a new one, so---new tires for everyone! Ackk. Not storing them outside anymore, that's for sure. And when our little angel baby dog starts growling at "nothing", maybe it really is something. this could be food related---that new set of tires could have been a nice stock up trip at Costco----or a few tankfulls of gas : )

One time we were canoe camping with a group in northern Florida. We were out in the canoe while

some stayed behind. When we got back we saw one of the ladies laughing, looking toward our camp.
Here a crow was stabbing his beak through our ice cooler and just about had it ready to get inside....She didn't try to chase him away!!!

My cousin's car looks like someone took an ice pick to it on both side fenders above the tires.

Her large puppy chewed up her car. She also chewed all the edge trim off the grill.

My girlfriend's dog ate TWO garden hoses...totally...not a bit left. What is it about rubber?!

we give them rubber balls and rubber/plastic chew toys. poor things don't know the difference

The turkeys destroyed a neighbor's car's paint job, it was a shiny black car and the birds saw their

reflection, and kept pecking at the door! I saw them doing this, shooed them away and went to their front door to let them know they might want to put the car in the garage. You wouldn't believe the look on their faces when I tried to explain what I saw!!!! We walked back together to their car and there were the turkeys AGAIN, pecking away!!
