NFRC - I finally found you all, sheesh!

After much searching on the "other" forum (That site's a trainwreck!) I finally found you. I see lots of old names I dearly missed and lots of wonderful new recipes from new names I hope to get to know.

I haven't had much time or energy for cooking lately. My twins have both moved out. Daughter joined the Army (UGH!) and son working and living on his own (I had my sons bdrm turned into my workroom before he had driven a mile away,LOL).

I don't know about the rest of you but being just the 2 of us and both not getting home until 7pm, I have kind of lost the excitement of cooking. Now that I've found you maybe that will change. I'll try to share what recipes I have, most have been posted on that "other" site but I hope I can contribute somehow.

Lordy, wish I was here at Easter time, the Peeps will live in infamy.

hugs, woody

So nice to see you!

I can relate to your cooking dilemma. My kiddos moved out a bunch of years ago, and with our busy schedules, we seldom are eating much before 7 PM, more likely closer to 8:30.
What I have gotten into the habit of doing is cooking, marathon style, on Sundays, then bringing back the remainders as deja-food during the week.
Today I'll be making Ina Garten's Lemon-Garlic roast chicken, and some curried spinach, tofu and tomatoes. Sounds like a wierd combo, but I'm making cookies with half a package of tofu, and needed a way to use it up.
I plan on using the chicken later in the week for a taboulleh with chicken, that Ina also made on a recent show.

Hi Woody!

It is funny you showed up, I just recently put out an iso for you and Laurie/SB. There are some regulars from Gail's that are still MIA. I am glad you found us. You have been missed. So many of my recipes that I use on a weekly basis have your name on them. This is a great forum with a bunch of great cooks. You will most definitely get excited about cooking again. Welcome back! My son and I moved last July,

and hubby joined me in September. We love it here. Very, very different lifestyle here, but it is very nice. I love the four seasons again. You better post a recipe soon!

Great to see you Woody!! Glad you found your way from our "other site" You will love Mimi/FK site

Hi Woody! If you don't know this already, there is a forum here called "Favorites" where...

we are posting some tried and true, many from GRS. Just because you mentioned your posts from there, I mean. A lot of them are in there - hope you add your good ones to them.

You'll love it here.
