NFRC It was a mouse in my car's a/c drainage hose causing the waterflow into my car floors!

I was just having a conversation w. a friend on the differences in our house w/ cultures. I grew

up with a christmas tree and santa, dh grew up with "jesus and the angels"

I grew up with a tooth fairy... He grew up with a Tooth mouse. Can you imagine?? A mouse running under your pillow!!! Still freaks me out thinking about it....

Glad your mouse did not make it into the car and your ac is working!

I just sacrificed a tsp of my peanut butter to a mousetrap here at work. saw the critter

running across the hallway. they're not usually inside right now---have plenty of water and food outside.

The Czechs celebrate St. Nicholas's Day (12/5) with Jesus and the Devil. smileys/wink.gif

Ok, the Devil isn't really celebrated, but parents hire older kids (teenagers) dressed up as Jesus and as the Devil (and maybe angels, too) to show up at dinnertime and ask little kids if they've been good enough to deserve presents from Ježíšek (the Christ Child) at Christmas.

I was pretty floored the first time I came to class the day after and had students tell me with a straight face, "I couldn't finish my homework last night; I was playing the Devil for my niece/nephew/neighbors' kids." smileys/wink.gif

Unsuspecting tourists are also a little unsettled, since the whole city seems to be teeming with teenagers running around dressed in alternate states of holiness/unholiness!

But the Tooth Mouse is a new one on me! smileys/smile.gif

That is so funny! (and alot to take in).. I believe 12/5 is when dh would put out his shoes

in the window for St. Nicholas. He would clean his shoes, put them in the window sill and the next morning, they were filled with oranges and candy.

I actually do think the tradition with the Czechs, while a little unsettling, (w/ devils and angels running around), must be fun....

We had the Tooth Mouse. The teeth/coins were left in our shoes, not under the pillow.

And mice are cute, so it never occurred to me to think of it as strange.
