NFRC - I've been out of the loop, working on my first big event in years. I've never worked

Holy smokes. I thought I'd see your name associated w/ making lunch &/or snacks for this con-

ference--which would have been a major undertaking in my book-- but you organized the whole deal! Wow-za--my hat is off to you, Traca! I assume everything went swimmingly. Now it's time for you to kick back and rest for a couple weeks.

Thanks Marilyn for saying that. I've worked on a couple different things this summer

including this Unlock Your Power series, starting with negotiation. Afterward, a woman said, "Other events are inspirational and feel-good. Your events 'tickle the brain' and address essential topics. This is stuff I *need* to know."

Thanks Wigs. I ran out of gas before I could find a food sponsor, so I did that too. smileys/smile.gif

Fortunately I enlisted the help of a friend. "Can you plan the menu & pick up a few things at Costco?" I did a cheese platter (rolling logs of goat cheese in herbs & cracked pepper), a dip, veggies, fruit, etc. Thankfully it was all really simple. It was crazy. I hand washed 60 wine glasses (twice!), etc. This was a beta. Next time, I'll charge more....and hire out stuff. smileys/smile.gif
