when Air Force One is parked outside. The big Radar Plane just took off, otherwise, it's very quiet here today.

A presidential arrival is always exciting!

I grew up in Virginia/DC and never got tired of seeing all the limo processions whisking the president and other dignitaries around town.

WooHoo, he's here. My feet are frozen. solid. security made us delete all photos of AF1. nuts.

beautiful clear, COLD day. I keep UGG slippers under my desk for cold days. they are now on my feet.

That is exciting Ang! Just remember, you'll always have the "mental shots"

I remember the hubba-bubba when President Reagan flew in by helicopter about two blocks away from my work in Cherry Hill, NJ circa the 80's. He was so close but so far away with all of the blockades. Yep, very exciting.

Yes, always exciting. ;o) I'm driving by Richard Gere's parents' house today

Does that compare? ;o) It's in my neighborhood, and I'm hoping to get a glimpse, seeing that he's in town and spoke at "Meals on Wheels" here last night. His father is a volunteer at the local chapter.

When I was little, I raked their front lawn for $1 (I guess that was the going rate at the time!), I didn't have any clue who they were then.

sounds like SNL "brush with greatness" skit material! I hope you get a glimpse. ask them if they

need their lawn raked. might bring back fun memories for them and get you in the door????

Nope, nothing. They have a very neat garage though! Door was open, no sign

of Richard. I remember a bratty group of "older" guys (15-ish?) used to live on that street, near their house. Maybe it was him and his brothers, so maybe I did "meet" him many years ago.

Ang - AF1 is always parked across the road from my old office

and we were threatened and told we could not take pix. They made OUR security guards go stand by the street in front of the business and keep civilians driving by from pulling over and taking photos. This was a PRIVATE business and we were having to tell folks they couldn't take photos. He wasn't in the plane or anywhere nearby. If they don't want people taking photos, why don't they park it in a less 'obvious' location. There are lots of areas that are not along a major arterial 6 lane road!!!

And one guy went on the roof to get a better shot and they called our security to get him down before they shot him even though they said they could see that he only had a camera. Again, Prez was no where near AF1.

To see this when while we were in London, they fairly casually just came out of the palace with the royal family with a very modest motorcade. Our tax dollars at work.....

Hey Dawn, can I fly up and visit you for a stakeout

on Richard Gere? - Please??!

My favorite hunk of all time! Now THAT'S exciting!

We were told that pics of te Pres were OK, just not the plane. terrorism I guess. maybe we would

take the picture and blow it up and figure out something or other.
