NFRC: Tip - how to clean cloudy vases/glasses

My neighbour recommended putting a tab of polygrip (or another brand of the bubbling, denture cleaning stuff) in the vase/glass and follow directions. I couldn't believe how clean the glassware came out w/out any work whatsoever. BTW - I bought the 5 minute tabs (versus overnight).

Temper my above post.

Now that the glasses have fully dried they are definitely improved - but not quite as brand spanking clean as I had originally thought.

(((Sorry)))

I really need that tip. I have some good crystal barware that is cloudy from the dishwasher. Is

this the kind of cloudy you're referring to?

Thanks Deb.

Marg, that can be caused by using too much detergent, especially when combined with

a water softener. We cut the amount of detergent we were using in half and it solved the problem. Also, according to the book that came with the dishwasher, excessively cleaning the dishes before loading them can cause it, something about the detergent needs to have something to attack, lol. The glassware, once it's etched, can't be restored.
