Thanks to all of you who have sent your concern and support lately during my illness. I got home this afternoon. I DO NOT have to have chemo or radiation. They took most of my staples out but a few on the bottom end of the incision weren't quite ready, so have to wait until next Friday on them. After that will just have to be followed quarterly for a while, except I will have to continue to give myself a blood-thinner injection daily for the next six months. This is actually easier than having to go weekly to have blood drawn to maintain a correct coumadin level, so shots I'll live with for a while.

Melissa_Dallas, I have just caught up on all your recent ordeal & surgery, and I am elated

you do not have to face chemotherapy or radiation. That is a big blessing. Now you can just take your time to heal and not have to worry about more treatment. I can well imagine how scary all this has been for you. I had colon cancer in 1993 and then thyroid cancer in 2004 so know precisely what you've been facing and dealing with lately in the physical realm and in the emotional realm. Zowie, you had one heckuva tumor not to mention all that fluid retention. As soon as you're recovered from surgery, you will feel like a million bucks. My best to you! Wigs
