NFRC: Wow...Amazon is certainly improving. I've ordered twice this week with

"free shipping" which used to take 2 weeks to get here because they use the postal service for that option.

But both orders went out the next day and I got the first one within 3 days. This second batch includes two books and that frisky Kitchenaid blade with the rubber edges. Hope it works as well as they say. Ordered it Wednesday and the package is already in GA. Which means I should have it by tomorrow.

Say "hello!" to Happy Customer Service Days again.

Marilyn how is this blade different from the rubber coated one I received with my mixer? I can't

tell from the picture. So, I am also interested in what your take is on it.

As far as shipping, I ordered Doughmaker cookie sheets from Cutlery & More, via free shipping, yesterday and they were shipped out yesterday!

Being in retail myself, I know that these places have geared up for the holidays and do not have enough business to support their stock levels. So the service should be the best ever!

Here's a photo of my original blade. This new version has rubber scrapers along the edges

to pull the food back into the mixing range. You "supposedly" don't have to stop so often to scrap down the sides.

We'll see. I'm gearing up to remake the "GBH from Calvin's Hell" as a donation fund-raiser for the Toys for Tots event at work. Donations are really low this year.

I made a whole heck of a lot of icing with the last GBH, so this new version should get a good test run.

Maybe you already have it???

I've had really good luck too with the free shipping, even up here. I ordered those pie crust

lattice cutters and a set of linzer cookie cutters with several "middles" and Pirate and Ocean and Dinosaur cookie cutters and a rectangular tart pan with removabale bottom. they are all terrific and came at least a week before they were expected(order was delayed because of some of the kitchen items)

Ahah! Have we heard reports on how well it works? I can imagine that a perfect fitting adjustment

will have to be made between the motor head and the bowl.

This is so sensible.

the other thing I thought was a good idea is the mixing sequence of the Cuisinart stand mixer, in that one can set it so that for brief momentary stops on a gentle cycle to allow the addition of ingredients.

Yep, I ordered several peices of cast iron from Amazon, was pretty sure I would pay some sort of

shipping since it was Alaska. was a nice surprise.
What I like best about Amazon besides the great service and prices are the customer reviews. Even if I don't plan on shopping there will look for product to read reviews.

Nan

must remember, free shipping is only on items from Amazon, not other sellers and $25 or more

when I do a search on Amazon, over on the left you can limit the results to just those things sent

"from" Amazon, which are usually eligible for free shipping.

on the ferry right now, it's 5:05, be in at 7. What a nice trip details later.A great Sunday to All!

YAY! I'm so happy to hear this! Mine hasn't been washed and put away yet but I'll be using it ....

When I get on to baking from candy making!

I was in hopes that it would work as advertised. One never knows.

Thx Charlie!
