NFRQ Facebook messages?

Does anyone know if Facebook is having problems with their messaging system? I sent a time-sensitive group message to 8 people and not one person replied!

Then I sent one to a couple of distant relatives who are not Friends yet, paid $1 each, and then got a receipt online that said "refunded" and have not had a reply from either of them. What is "refundable" mean in this context? I would email FB, but I know I'd never get an answer.

I'm getting a complex!(

Not sure if there's a problem....

but I've noticed the same. I contacted a few people and got nothing back. Two are cookbook authors, so maybe they don't really care about replying to a request for publication of their recipes in a blog and just ignored me? smileys/wink.gif

but three others are friends that I don't contact very often, and I suspect they would get back to me. Strange

Facebook seems to be getting worse and worse, I get so tired of all those silly general posts "name a food with no A in it"

"name a movie with no E in the title"

they could also do - name a person with way too much free time on their hands? smileys/wink.gif

Agreed. The worst one is the posts that say....

...."Type 'red' into the comments and see what happens...".

Nothing 'happens' of course. It just gets the original poster a lot of hits and attention.

Weird.

I've been on the other end...

friends sent messages and I received no notification. They were there, and I stumbled upon them by accident weeks after the fact. FB is there to serve their customers, and that is not you. They package and sell your data to companies who profile your data and market to you in many different ways. I am constantly inserting flak onto my page to defeat this system. Do I like Tractor Pulls? Hell yeah! Caveat emptor y'all.

How did you stumble upon them, Richard? Where do you look? Also, why

on earth would my charges be "refunded"? I didn't request that, and am wondering if that means they were never charged to me (i.e. my messages neer got sent)!?!

"those" posts

All those posts that say "type this" or "name this" are pretty sophisticated phishing scams - they build up an audience and then sell the "like" to someone who pays for them,i.e. someone that needs to look like they have a lot of followers, like a small company

just ignore those posts, they're annoying, but if you don't feed the beast...

Same here, I don

I used too but one day the notices were gone. I happened to check my messages one day - actually I pushed the wrong button - and I had a ton of PM´s waiting for me. It was so embarassing because people must have thought I didn´t bother to reply. I still feel bad about it.
