No recipe just a public rave about my hubby to be.

I just got a call from my wonderful hubby to be. He was on his way to the kitchen store to buy me a whole new set of cookware. The shocking part is that I never asked for it! He said he just wants me to have the very best. When he got to the store he again called me and listed all of the cookware they had and told me to pick out whatever I wanted. WHAT A GREAT GUY!

I am not really sure what I picked to be honest..................

He listed all of them and the different pieces, warranties, coatings, materials etc and I ruled them out until it came down to two based on my wants. I told him of those two it was his choice. I will see when I get home tonight. I am one lucky woman.

Heh, heh, naw it's not that he's just a great guy, but that he has his own best intersts at heart! M

If you like to cook, good cookware will encourage you to continue to cook and he will be one of those directly benefiting from your cooking--I mean all that good food, no? --she said with another evil chuckle! smileys/wink.gif

I remember way back when, when I was told that my husband, upon someone mentioning that I don't like to keep house (actually "clean house"0), replied--"yeah, but she likes to cook!"

Best interests or not, I have a brand new set of pans waiting for

me when I get home smileys/smile.gif. I still can't figure out why he thought to do it though since my old set of pans was perfectly ok and I had not once complained about them. I guess I should stop questioning things and enjoy them. I will say it again though, he is a great guy and I am a lucky woman!

Yes he does bring flowers in fact /..................

He had flowers waiting for me when I got home a week ago wed. then Sunday was my birthday and I again got flowers, along with a balloon bouquet. He also spread the word that it was my birthday and everywhere we went people had a little something for me. Mostly flowers. Right now not only my house but his house and my office are full of them.
Before anyone asks………he does do dishes. *BIG GRIN*

I wish my daughter would be willing to learn how to cook for her future hubby

From my experience, my hubby who don't even know how to cook steamed rice loves food. I can almost get anything from him if I put his favorite food on the table. Unfortunately, my daughter who is 19 is not keen to cook, and I have told her that a woman must learn the art of cooking as this is the basic duty of a wife (Asian thinking). Well I hope that she will one day appreciate my advice while I am still able to show her the little knowledge I know.

She will carroll, just give her a fewmore years. It took me a while after I left

home to appreciate Mom's cooking and knowing how to cook your own good food.

Maybe she will find a guy that can cook so she doesn't have to.

There is somebody for everybody I always say. I found the perfect person to compliment me and my life. Not everyone enjoys the same things. Maybe her future hubby will be the cook in the family and she can do a chore or task that he doesn't like in exchange. For me I do the cooking and my HTB does the lawn, car washing, and bed making. Fair exchange for me since I hate those three chores. I have actually come home to a freshly cleaned house. *grin*

Well I didn't like the cookware I picked over the phone.

My HTB and I ended up taking it back and getting another set. I am still not sure what I ended up with my head is still swimming with all of the cookware types I saw and read about this weekend.
