Not a big fan of Giada DeLaurentis but made her Chicken Cacciatore and Smashed Parmesan Potatoes>>

I've heard her compared to a Praying Mantis, but that being said,

her recipes are occasionally, surprisingly, good. Is it fair to judge her by her bodily proportions? I made her roasted fennel with Parmesan the other night and it was delicious. But on her show she ate it all alone, with a pork roast in fig sauce, on her patio, complimenting herself with each bite. Doesn't she have a big Italian extended family somewhere to do that for her?

Oh for the love of G! It's a television show. You know, make-believe? Fiction?

They shoot this thing in a house she uses that's been converted into a dedicated cooking studio.

Anybody who "shows up" is there by arrangement, scheduled days if not weeks beforehand. They're there for HOURS and sometimes they just PRETEND to eat because the production team will shoot take after take. You've GOT to know that if she's eating alone it's not 'cause she has to but because IT'S IN THE SCRIPT!

And I'm not judging her because she has a big head (okay, an ENORMOUS head). I was making a joke. You know, as in taking actual facts and hyperbolizing them for entertainment purposes. I think it's absolutely fair to judge her by her bodily proportions. She's a public figure. Jeez.

I was not a big fan either... just too darn thin and pretty to be eating all that wonderful

pasta... it's just not fair! Ha Ha Ha! But then I saw a show about her on the food network, Chefography or something like that... and it really turned me around. She was completely likeable, very close with her family and battle shyness in the beginning which made her more endearing to me for some reason. Now if only I could find a way to stomach Rachael Ray!

I'm with you Hallie--Can't abide Rays's PERKINESS although her food is ok--but Thirty minute?...

there's got to be someone doing all the chopping. As for Giada-its her teeth that bother me--do we have to see them all including the molars every time she smiles. Her food is ok though--plain and good and what I remember from my childhoos.

Agree that she has sort of strange proportions but her food is good...

every one of her recipes I have tried, and I have tried quite a few, always turned out exceptionally well. Her tomato and bread soup is to die for. I crave it any time I am getting sick or feeling down. It has taken the place of homemade chicken soup for me. Her arancini di riso balls are another one that are great. Grilled romaine lettuce salad yet another.

Don't you mean"for the love of Giada?" Gee, I thought it was a documentary...

but I should have been suspicious the way the kitchen keeps cleaning itself.

Are you typing while driving? Dangerous in LA. I suspect your obsession with La Giada's cranium..

betrays a latent love for the woman herself. Or for head cheese. Can't tell which one online.
