Not Instagram worthy but sure is good. I finally made this summer’s rhubarb pie again

No strawberries here, just full on rhubarb. Even the twins next door love it. I didn’t use a crust that made for fancy styles or photos. Just the good for almost everything dough in t&t. You can really see those chunks of butter here. You know your crust came out good when it shatters under your fork. Recipe at the link. Anne Dimock’s straight up rhubarb pie. I do have a baked picture...

And it shows why you can’t have a fabulous flaky crust and a detailed finished product at the same time. As you see I lost the embossed center (I knew I would with this dough, it’s not my first rodeo with it), but I just can’t quit this recipe. Because I’d rather have a flaky crust than a picture pretty pie any day.
