for stuffers for the boxes. Such fun! We got all kinds of stuff that I think will make for a really nice package. Including: small dry cereal boxes, packets of dry soup mix, Sunflower seeds, Wasabi peas, hard candies, Crystal Light-on the go, dry cocoa mixes, individual wet wipes, sugar packets, packages of tuna, cheese & cracker packets (variety pack). And that glad container is just perfect to hold my cookies and Zucchini bread. Now, Marilyn, do you want a listing of everything on paper to put inside for customs or should I email you it? I can't remember what you said and I can't find it.

A warning for cold weather folks and those flat rate boxes:

I had my boxes in the car(it's just 7 degrees out)until noon when I took them to the post office. The "sticky stuff" on the box ends that seals them up, un-stuck in that cold weather. So to be on the safe side, tape up the ends.

I wish I could see them. I got a few glimpses when I lived on the prairies and again

once briefly here further south. But they are so eerie and beautiful.

Must put that on the 'to do' list.

look to the North on a clear nite, late. They are strong now and I bet you can see them.

Low to the horizon, but I bet they are visible. I saw them once in Wyoming on a clear cold night, dancing low near the horizon. I imagine Angel gymnasts twirling their ribbon wands across the sky to entertain us. Makes clear and cold tolerable.

Either I have the wrong sized box or I don't know how to pack things. How are

you fitting all this into such a small box, please?

I'm a great packer Cyn but the box really is pretty big. I bought the Glad>>>

containers that are about 11x7x3" for my cookies. I bought a variety pack of the dried cereal boxes and can fit 4 on the top of the container. Then everything else I bought is in flat packages. The dried soup is flat the little cocoa packs are flat etc. The tuna is in flat bags. Then the sugar packets are individual packets in a box which I will take out and put in plastic bags. The same with the Crystal Light, take them out of the box. They are tiny little packs. Everything will be taken out of their boxes. Anything that isn't labeled on each pack, like the wasabi peas, will be put in a plastic bag and I have made labels to put on the bag. The hard candy will be scattered anywhere I can to fill in any gaps or spaces so that I can get in as much as I possibly can.

Aha Cyn...I hadn't thought of putting in two containers in. I'm doing 2 boxes>>>

so I'm putting 1 in each box and filling with other stuff. I'm thinking that the shipping time is going to cut down on the time frame of the home made things and the other things will have a longer shelf life for these guys. But you will definitely have more home made stuff in the 2 boxes with space on the side. And don't forget about that little space at the ends of the container where the lid hags out a bit. There's a space in there......LOL. I love packing!

Orchid, here is an example of a Custom form that Debra used before:

They shipped out 70 of the large rectangular flat-rate boxes filled with personal items or purchased snack foods. This custon form says:

snack cakes qty 16
stationary qty 6
dental care qty 3
skin care qty 9
phone card qty 1

Declared Value = $35

I know we're supposed to note if a DVD or batteries or other items like that are included. But everything you have sounds like dry food staples.

Oh boy, I just crammed my packages full and put a list of contents on the outside, no amounts.

You may need to open and count. Bummer.
