We overachieved....40 boxes, plus 7 contingency boxes (4 extra to one site, 3 to the second deployment), 2 "Christmas Trees in a Box" kits and 2 "Movie Night in a Box" kits, which also included disposable cameras.

Angie, your boxes were so jam-packed that I got 6 cubes after filling with fresh cookies from my friend Diane or my brownies.

Mimi, I added 3 boxes of MacNCheese (one per son) to your box...an organic version, an extra-cheesy version and a Sponge Bob version!

I had to repack about 6 damaged boxes...I just slit the bottom and held it over a new box to let the contents slide in. Worked rather well!

My friend Beth stepped in to "pinch hit" and ended up making 72 dozen cookies, out of which she deemed 36 dozen were "good enough" for the boys. She's the Webster dictionary defition of a good hearted person and was here packing all day yesterday....ON HER BIRTHDAY! And we didn't even have any candles!

I have more photos to share, but have got to get some work done or I won't have a job at LM anymore to do this kind of stuff.

No, O. They were meant for the Christmas tree as ornaments, but

I got a little heavy-handed with the decorating. As I was taking a photo, gravity took over and pulled the hangers right through their little heads.

It was a moving experience...like watching the fall from heaven in minature. The sad truth was...they were just too butt-heavy!

Sugar Cookie Angels ended up packed into half-dozen cello bags and added to the contingency boxes.

The Gingerbread Boys were the same. After trepanning a hole in their head for the wire hanger with an 18W power drill, their thin little necks couldn't take the weight of red/white/blue pantaloons. I even piped more icing around their neck to give them added support, but they just looked like whiplash accident victims.

More cello-bagged contingency fodder. Good idea...bad execution.
