Off Topic: My dad

I've been MIA because my dad was diagnosed with urethelial carcinoma. To make a LONG story short, I have been running him to doctor's appointments, and then to the University of Chicago hospital for surgery. Doctors in our town didn't think he would survive surgery, but the U of C doctors gave him an epidural (dad has lung disease too) and he was awake the whole 5 hour operation! After 9 days in the hospital, I was able to take him home tonight, and hopefully things can return to normal for me.

Having a sick parent is one of the hardest things to deal with...you grow up thinking they are invincible.

May you two have MANY MANY more days and nights to spend together. I wish both of you strength and peace.
