Oh boy, was this good on shredded roasted lamb: Moroccan onion confit with raisins

Larry had this on his lamb sandwich at The Rusty Spoon and it turned a "good" sandwich "fabulous." I hadn't read the description on the menu and kept going: "It's sweet? Why is it sweet? I kinda like that it's sweet...but why is it sweet???"

You can see now why he always has a drink when eating with me.

Well, here's why: I just dug up a recipe online because--personally--I would never have made this before tasting how good it was.

Just goes to show you can't be a culinary snob. A slob, yes, but not a snob.

Can't take credit for it: We had it at The Rusty Spoon as one of their "handhelds"

Slow Braised Lamb - Jamison Farm Lamb, sweet onion & golden raisin jam with House Made Ricotta Salata on Toasted Moroccan Bread.

It was amazing warm and even good cold for lunch yesterday. Meat was shredded into large chunks. And I'm not even that big of a lamb fan.
