A huge thanks to Paul and everyone working behind the scenes to re-launch. smileys/smile.gif It's nice to be back!

So my magnificent Chicago meal was in a food court. Yes, really. We were in town for a friend's wedding, and the hotel was next to an outdoor shopping center called Old Orchard; buried somewhere among the boutiques and department stores was a place called Wilde & Greene, which was Eataly-esque, with its dozens of dining stations. Friends, there was even a rosti bar.

And my friend had tiramisu cake at her wedding, so: bonus. smileys/smile.gif

Sounds like fun! I was thinking of you this weekend; NBC was suggesting that alot of your

roads were closed down for some sort of parade / event. They were then showing the food vendors, etc.

While it sounded like fun, I am not a crowd person. Your chicago trip sounds much better!

And, I am a sucker for a wedding.... : )

 
Thanks, Barb! Yep, the novelty of the street fairs has worn off, for me...though there's the

occasional good find. Mainly, I try to avoid them. But there was one going on during the first weekend we moved here, and that was a fun introduction to the city. smileys/smile.gif
