I did two large tins...in the oven for 2 hours. They were just devine. I used all the butter called for.
I found they were still quite wet after the first hour so poured off the juice and added a little more butter and they caramelised up very well.
I made a wee tweak......To half of them: I pressed some garlic over in the last 15 mins of cooking, chopped them up a bit and used as a bruschetta topping with olive oil crisped baguette.
Then my guests wanted some more bruschetta so I used up the rest.
Now I need to make more for Saturdays guests....
