OK, so I'm leaving for Hawaii in the morning and there's a tropical storm brewing.

sounds like a bad country song and I didn't think this was even storm season. Hurricane Felicia was downgraded to a level 3 tropical storm, but still headed right smack into the upper Big Island. Someone please tell me it's gonna be OK. geez. just my luck. Anyway. Aloha all and I'll give hugs to Cathy and Sandi for you all(lucky me)

It's going to be O.K.!!!!!!!! Tropical Storms are skeered of Alaska Women

Oh my would love to be part of this group, Hugs and Lots of Fun and Food!!!
Nan
Oh and if Julia and Julie is playing, see it as a group!! saw it last night only thing that would have made it better, it was too short and would have been nice with some friends.
One spoiler, remember the big blue Buick station wagon from the book--the opening scene is it getting offloaded a from freighter and it just gets better, my cheeks are still tired from grinning!

Ang, have a ball!!!

It got downgraded to a 2 this morning, but then it picked up again. It's not so bad, really....

So far, we've been getting occasional gusts, but hopefully it weakens again.

Have a great flight! Can't wait to see you!

I kept hearing, "Noah, build an ark!"

in Bill Cosby's voice! We were (borrowed motorhome) camping this weekend and it rained buckets and buckets. We were safe and dry but our neighbors in tents and pop-ups were drenched and terrorized by some of the most beautiful lightening I've seen in ages!

Ang, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you! Colleen

this is Ang and I'm having a lovely evening---Cathy is cooking for me! lucky me.

my time on the Big Island was rain free and lovely, but the storm followed me to Kauai. It's clearing up now and I got a bit of beach time in this afternoon---and shopping! thanks for the good wishes everyone. Oahu tomorrow and a visit with Sandi and back to Alaska on Sat. I'm enjoying just wearing shorts and even listening to the rain while I sleep. rain can be a good thing. I will make a pineapple upside down cake on Sunday to share at work on Monday. I think that will go over better than choc mac nuts. My friend in Kauai has macadamia nut trees and she harvests them and roasts them---organic and so good---nothing like the canned variety. I will post a picture of her "self help" stand. It's so cute and really makes her some $$$. amazing life. Aloha.

Oh how fun!! How lucky to spend time with Cathy and Sandi. I recall Richard

visiting and posting beautiful pictures of Cathy's meals. It was what turned me on to Laarb. Still a favorite here. We it 2-3xs/month. (Tx again Cathy for sharing your recipe!)
Best to all!
