2 pics are of the cake that came from Grandie's 7th birthday request of a "Whale of a Time" party and could I please make any creature from under the sea for her cake...the stick in the tail was for transporting...then the candles were the "water-spit...of course!!!"

Had a bit of a problem as the icing melted.....it was to have been butter icing..so hot here, so I added egg white to it and then grandie dipped the spatular in water to "smudge-it-smooth" so we did oooooze a lot.

Anyway it was a WOW to the other children and it tasted just yummy as always.

I love children...

Those are silver baubles called 'dragees" I think, but something....

I found, when held in a clammy little hand to ever-so carefully place on the cake, the silver started to come off...the ones we had as a child tasted soo good, the ones I can get here taste of nothing but the concept is the same.

 
Ok, thought that's what they were, but wasn't sure. Looked different (bigger) than ones I've seen.
