Ok, the other night I made some pork satay and grilled them in my Le Crueset

non stick grill pan on my hot plate. The pork was really good (the rice I made was a tad more that al dente, it cooked too fast on the hotplate--temp control is almost non existent).

My question is, how do I clean this pan? It has been soaking with hot water and dish soap for days and nothing. I heated it 3X with vinegar--on the hot plate--and a bit of the cooked on black stuff came off but there is more that I can't get off--what do I do????

Thank you!

Try simmering a bit of water with dishwasher detergent for a few minutes, and let it sit a while

You have to use the powdered stuff for the dishwasher, not the stuff you handwash dishes with.

Simmer a bit of water in the pan, and add the dishwasher detergent.

Hope something works for you!

That was going to be my second suggestion. That's actually what I do, but I don't use any

detergent, just water. I lightly boil it, and scrape the stuff with a wooden or plastic spatula as it's boiling.

Meryl, the baking soda worked pretty good. I scrubbed the pan this

morning before I left for work and a lot of the burned bits came off. I put another coating of baking soda on for a second round of scrubbing tonight!

Thank you!!

You're welcome, Barbara! I hope the final round takes off the rest - If not, try the boiling water.
