Okay, I've been wanting to ask this for years - Am I the only one here who hates pumpkin?

Butternut is dense and delicious IMO

The pumpkin here in America is very watery compared to the flat white South African pumpkins, so the closest I can come is butternut and calabaza. In SA my favourite way of cooking pumpkin was to slice it, smear with a little butter, cover with cinnamon sugar, and bake. So delicious.

Acorn is nice, but also watery. I love the buttercup squash too.
