Grandad did and DD got the grand sprogs dressed. I saw that lunches were ready and the chickens and ducks were fed, watered and eggs collected before the rats or mongeese get to them. And off we went.......
ON THE DOT...short cut wasn't so fun today as it was just MUD and gundgy AND we were stuck behind a black-spewing exhaust truck....UrgggH!
However we were earlier by 3 whole mins for the lift club.
AND then after dropping them all at school I simply had a good hour to spare before arriving at work.
So I bought the paper and had a leisurely breakfast myself with scrambled eggs, fresh orange juice, bacon and sausage....wow...I can't do that again as it was rather expensive at $15.00 and then the hips started protesting too.
Work was very confusing, which is a worry as I am on my own from tomorrow for the next 6 weeks...OH BOY!
Back home first, I started supper and the school lunches. Collected the eggs, fed the puppy and generally got it all together.
At 6pm Grandad and one happy youngster came breezing in. The other one was fed up and sitting in the driveway waiting for everyone to go inside?????
I found she had not eaten her left over lunch nor her carrots...had had gym and ballet and eaten only the fruit and cookies...no wonder she was a whingher delux!
Dogs and puppy taken for a walk, fed and one grand sprog bathed.
The 9 year old sat down to homework and I was ready to serve supper.....
Crab cakes, eggplant, broccoli, and smashed baby potaoes with herb butter followed by baked apples.
Suddenly 9 year old perked up and is a happy and serene lass as usual.
But then after supper she and grandad did home work...
I was washing up when this accountant DH of mine came rather sheepishly to ask if I can remember what "a Predikate is"???????
Geeeeeez.....I have taught English for years but rather than tell him, suggested he and SHE look upn the word in the dictionary and try to work out the answers for the homework. This was received with a 'face'
What did I find when I checked up on them....(LOL)...
They were on the phone to the 25 year old sprog getting the answers from her...I was rather sarcastic to say the least...she was having a farewell dinner with friends in a restuarant (wine and all) and the school sprog should be attempting to do this work with guidance, not be told...
OH well......it is not worth making a huge to do about it.....the teacher will find out soon enough that she does not have the handle on it...
did I say DAMN homework...well, I say it again.
When our sprogs were small I was the only one around at homework time. How did I stay sane.
Lunch is done and everyone now in bed, bathed, teeth clean and airco blasting away......
and the puppy has peed in six places and chewed through the corner of the mat.....
I guess it means I must go and deal with this before bed.....
I NEED that sleep.
