Here is a sample recipe:

Fresh Apple Cake (there are so many)

Fresh Apple Cake Recipe

4 cups apples, chopped fine

2 cups sugar

2 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp vanilla

1 tsp salt

Mix together and let stand for 20 minutes.

Add the following:

1/2 cup cooking oil

2 eggs

2 cups flour

2 tsp soda

1 cup nuts

1 cup raisins

Mix well and pour into a large, lightly greased loaf pan. Bake apple cake 45 minutes at 350 degrees. Sprinkle brown sugar over the top after baking 5 minutes.
