One of our Asian growers at the Farmer's Market put in Romanesco this year

It's delicious lightly steamed, or tossed with olive oil, salt and pepper and roasted in the oven

like roasting cauliflower. Another way I used it earlier this year was in this yummy salad (at the link). Didn't have anchovies on hand so I omitted it from the dressing. Such a pretty vegetable, isn't it!

I've never seen this at our market. How pretty! What does it taste like?

I personally think it tastes more like cauliflower but milder and a bit sweeter.

Milder than cauliflower, sort of a cross between Cauliflower and Broccoli as I recall

only had it once. I asked my supermarket to get it in, but they kept ordering green cauliflower!

I'll bet it follows the Fibonacci sequence (1, 1+1 =2, 2+1 = 3, 3+2 = 5, etc)

Like a sunflower does.
