orchid...I want to make the chocolate peanut butter surprise cookies you posted

It looks like less than three dozen from other placrs I see these posted.

One says 2 - 3 dozen. Another says she didn't even get three dozen out of the batch.

I don't agree on how many we made! ACH!!! I say 21. He says 29. So probably somewhere in the middle? Sorry....make a double batch. They are that good!

By the way, a couple of times I have mixed up some of the peanut

butter/powder sugar mixture and spread it on toasted English Muffins with Coffee. Yum

 
Haven't compared the 2 recipes but I know then as Magic in th Middles.

Super easy and simple to work with. Before smashing down the cookie I roll it in coarse sugar. Makes them prettier.

 
A batch made 23 good sized cookies. The golf ball sized gob of dough makes about a 3" cookie

Once you wrap it around the pb. I tried to be generous with the pb filling and still had some left over. Probably closer to 2 tsp filling in some of them. VERY good - family taste testers gave it a thumbs up smileys/smile.gif

 
The recipes are almost identical - Magic...Middles has an extra egg yolk is all

I wonder what difference that makes to the cookie....hmmmmm
