It has been in my "To Try" file FOREVER (U posted back in 2008!). My sister tried this out on the family, and it's FAB. What a wonderful way to use up leftover turkey. She changed a few little things which I'll list below. Layering the turkey w/ the mushrooms & the salad was key. The mix of flavors--delicious! There is a good picture at the foodnetwork link.

Turkey Milanese -- Bobby Flay

Ingredients:

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 pound cremini mushrooms, thinly sliced

Leftover turkey gravy (when we ran out of gravy, we used Heinz roasted turkey gravy in a bottle/jar)

1 tablespoon freshly chopped fresh thyme (leftover from turkey seasonings)

Dry white wine

Leftover turkey breast, cut crosswise into 1/2-inch thick slices

1 cup all-purpose flour

Salt and freshly ground black pepper

2 large eggs

1 tablespoon water

1 1/2 cups dry bread crumbs (substituted Panko crumbs)

Canola oil

Salad:

3 tablespoons red wine vinegar

2 tablespoons pomegranate molasses (We used 2 Tbsp mild molasses mixed with 1 Tbsp POM pomegranate juice.)

2 teaspoons Dijon mustard

Salt and freshly ground black pepper

1/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil

4 ounces baby arugula (We used a little arugula mixed with lots of Boston lettuce.)

Crumbled blue cheese or goat cheese (or any good cheese leftover from your holiday cheese plate)--Adults liked gorgonzola while the kids preferred no cheese at all.

Oh my, I had to go search for my post on this. I didn't even remember

making it. I haven't made it again but that's not unusual. I'll have to give it a go again some time. Thanks for letting me know you made it.

I've been cooking a lot of Bobby Flay dishes lately. Knock out recipes, big on flavor. Love him.

I make a lot of Bobby's recipes. Especially from his brunch show

and I have never been disappointed. I love his flavor combinations for breakfast things like waffle sandwich with maple syrup and honey. It is delicious.

I know, I'm 14 on the wait list at the library but I watch every

one of his brunch show so I don't expect that there is anything I don't already have printed out that I'm interested in. But I love to browse cookbooks so I wanted to see it. It's moving slowly on the wait list so obviously others want to look at it too.
