Just a bit of trivia...

I'm finding a lot of references online to today being National Pie Day, but no documentation or websites that give any information.

However, there's a fair amount of evidence pointing to January 23 actually being the big Day of Pies. smileys/smile.gif The main one being the National Council of Pies, at this web site...

Perhaps today would be better for Rosa Parks Day, instead. On the evening of December 1, 1955, Rosa Parks, an African American, was arrested for disobeying an Alabama law requiring black passengers to relinquish seats to white passengers when the bus was full. Blacks were also required to sit at the back of the bus. Her arrest sparked a 381-day boycott of the Montgomery bus system and led to a 1956 Supreme Court decision banning segregation on public transportation. A good entry from Wikipedia about Rosa Parks can be found here.
