RECIPE: Our "summer" is over and the rains are back, so tonight I made this: REC: White Russian Hot Cocoa

I'm sure someone out there made this before but here's what I made....

1 cup low fat milk

3 T Ghirardelli sweet chocolate powder

1 jigger Sky vodka

1 jigger Baileys

1 jigger Kahlua

coffee ice cream

In the microwave (or stovetop), heat milk in a pyrex cup until very hot (3 minutes in my micro). Mix in chocolate well.

In a small jug, mix liquors together and stir. Pour half of the liquors between two mugs and top off with the hot cocoa. Scoop a generous spoonful of coffee ice cream and float on top of cocoa.

Serves two. Or one on a cold and soggy night after watching sappy movies and using up all the Kleenex in the house....

We call this a White RIM. (White Russian Irish Mexican). They're...

...DELICIOUS!

PS: I use a mixture of half 'n half and heavy cream. Shame on me.

I cried tonight too, but I didn't have a nice drinky to calm me. I heard an interview...

...with former NFL and Alabama football coach Gene Stallings. His son, Johnny, who was born with Down Syndrome, lived a very special, loving life. He passed away last August, and Coach Stallings was telling of his love for his son.

He coached the Cardinals here in Phoenix, and his son was with him and helped out the team. It is a great, great, love story.

Michael
