Both of my sons are afficionados (and gluttons) when it comes to Carne Asada Fries. Oy.

The Pastrami-Cheese Fries look EXCELLENT.

There was a place here for a while that was an upscale torta shop

They had a plate called "Nardo's Nightmare" .-
Spicy cordones (fries ya' know) topped with chili, asadero cheese, sauteed peppers & onions, chopped bacon, guacamole, pico de gallo...and more

They were catering to the after bar scene & I kept thinking how good that would have tasted at 2:00 a.m. after some beers when I was 20.

It is all about the quality of the carne asada. We have a favorite taco shop here called...

..."Favaritos". SO GOOD.

The carne asada burritos are delicious, as well as the shredded beef tacos. Both taste exactly like my favorite place in San Diego.

Big, fat carne asada burrito, and under $5 too.
