I've never heard of them but I just received their catalog in the mail today and am impressed.

They have an extensive list of chiles and spices. Is anyone familiar with them and are their chiles and spices good?

Their chili powder is supposed to be excellent, according to a member of the Cook's Illustrated

Forum, but I don't know which one of the chili powders they were referring to.

Just did a Search and found a member's recommendations for ground chiles: Second post down.

"My favorite source for pure ground chiles is Pendery's varieties. My favorite ones from there are Chimayo, Pecos red, and Texas Red Dog."

Thanks super-sleuth Meryl! I might just add a couple of those recommended ground chiles to my

tortilla press order. I'm out of chile powder and I have so many to choose from.

I remember someone here suggesting that I add some spice to the roti dough that I made a long time ago. It might have been Michelle in Canada?
