Penzeys is getting annoying...

My last order with Penzeys, as always, arrived in a timely manner and, as always, my order was fresh and exactly what I ordered. However, I noticed when I placed my order, I had the option of not accepting the advertising banner, a fridge magnet and a rolled up picture of something (which I have never opened to see what it is), so I opted out of receiving the stuff I usually toss. The opt out feature was not working, I guess, because when I placed my order, those free (and unwanted items) were listed on my order. It is so annoying to me to have to throw all that political stuff out, a waste, to material, junk added to the landfill, and my few seconds to do it each time with each order.

I have been dealing with Penzeys for many years and just now noticed the little political blurbs on their spice jars.. I don't see these on my older jars.

I have never dealt with a company who does this and find this very weird.

I agree completely.

I noticed that Penzey's did this and wrote to the company stating that if they continued to be political with their orders that I would stop ordering from them. Needless to say I now order from King Arthur. I don't think a business is the place to tout a persons political opinion. I was really disappointed because I really like Penzsy's spices.

I like their owner's stance politically, and a private company can do what they want

I didn't know that they were adding to the labels, that is interesting, a little like Dr Bonners peppermint soap with the religious stuff all over it? Once when camping I was totally bored and out of anything to read and read the entire thing, fascinating and very odd.

When I get my spices I repackage them into my Spice Islands jars because I've been using them since the 80s and like their old look, and they fit into my bins perfectly.
