perforated disc for old National rice cooker

I loaned my trusty rice cooker to a friend (a mistake) and it was returned without the removable perforated disc for the bottom. She claims no knowledge of ever seeing it. Anyway, it doesn't work very well without it and I can't seem to find a part online. Does anyone have a bright idea of how I could keep the rice from sticking without it? I don't make rice often enough to warrant buying a new cooker.

Have you checked online sites for replacement parts? The problem is, it would probably cost more

than buying a new cooker.

What's the model number? (Different sizes). I was getting rid of an old rice cooker

As I got a non-stick one and may still have the insert. Different brand cooker, but it might fit.

Mine's gone, unfortunately, but the National cooker is handled by Panasonic

They should be able to help you...
