Pernod compliments almost all fish....French Treat.....recipe

A special when cruising the French ports. Buy some Pernod and mix about half a cup with equal amounts of milk (not tinned or long life)

Use tinned prawns or shrimp if fresh are unavailable.

Poach the fish in this mixture.

Thicken the liquid with a little flour (I've used cornflour) and a level teaspoon of curry powder.

Serve very hot over slices of toasted French bread.

Drink:

Mouse Ear, Round and Soft....

Shake together in ice, equal measures of Campari, vodka and fresh squeezed orange juice.

Shake really hard, strain into pre-chilled glasses.

This does sound good, and I've always liked the sound of the word Pernod, so

that is reason enough to buy a bottle - right? smileys/wink.gif
